Is this official?
No. ReRentalAlert is an independent project. It is not affiliated with NYC Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) or the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
Do you charge to apply?
Never. Applying to affordable housing is always free, and we never ask for application fees. If anyone asks you for money to apply to a listing you found here, it's a scam: don't pay, and tell us.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account page whenever you like. Premium stays active until the end of the billing period, then your account moves back to the free plan. Your saved searches stay.
Where do listings come from?
From the nonprofit and agency sources we monitor around the clock. See the sources page for the full list, with freshness timestamps for every source.
How fast are alerts?
Most alerts go out within minutes of a new listing appearing, on whichever channels you picked. If you pick the daily digest, you get one summary email each morning instead.
